Whether you sell physical products, services or online courses.
A great converting website is essential for growth! No matter how amazing your branding is, or your ads are, if your website doesn't have all 3 of these tricks explained below, you're leaving money on the table.
Whether you're just starting, or a seasoned entrepreneur, these 3 things have consistently helped us get more sales online, and see a better return from ads and other marketing sources.
This is one of the biggest lessons we've learned from over $13,000,000 in ad spend, and over $70,000,000 in online sales from the brands we've worked with.
It’s SUPER Frustrating when people aren't buying, when you can't get ads to convert, and when you can't turn visitors into buyers.
Especially with all the work and money that goes into creating amazing products.
You've invested countless hours in your business, and likely a good chunk of money.
So it's important to make boosting website conversions a priority.
Let's get into the 3 things you can do now to start getting sales (or more sales) with better website conversions.
Website Trick #1: Clarify Your Unique Selling Point
People don’t buy ‘features’ or ‘cool’, they buy solutions.
No matter what you’re selling, you need to clearly state how your product either solves a problem, makes life easier, or makes them happier.
This applies to every niche, and every product type. (this goes for you too fashion/apparel brands)
If the first thing people see when they land on your website is anything BUT your Unique Selling Point…
That’s a problem.
What pain are you solving? How are you making life easier? Why do people NEED your product or service? What makes you different from your competitors?
If it’s not clear what your products do to solve a problem or make life easier for someone, people will go find another solution… and they won’t buy.
Clearly identify this on your home page and product pages, and you'll almost instantly see more sales.
Website Trick #2: Turn Features Into Benefits
Features don’t sell, but benefits do.
You've probably heard the saying…
Features tell. Benefits sell.
Well, it’s true. And again it applies to every product/service, every niche.
Here’s an awesome example:
See how each of the bullet points mentions a feature and then gives a reason why people should care?
The phrase before each "for" is the feature, and after the "for" is the benefit.
Features that aren’t explained are a huge reason why people don’t buy.
When the balance of features & benefits are laid out together on both your home page and product pages, your website conversions can lift.
On each feature of your product, explain WHY someone should care about it.
Website Trick #3: Get Reviews
When was the last time you bought something online without reading reviews?
My guess, you can’t remember.
There’s a reason every big player out there has reviews front and center on their home pages, product pages and ads. Reviews do a lot of things for potential buyers.
They help them feel comfortable other people are buying and using the product.
They help answer questions about you as a brand, and product (quality, effectiveness how it works, etc.)
They also give people a clear picture of your Unique Selling Point. No one will articulate ‘why’ they bought your product better than a customer.
If you haven’t made reviews a priority, now’s the time.
No matter what stage of business you are in.
Just starting out? Send your product to friends and family and gather reviews.
Been around for a while? Use an app to send review requests to all past buyers. (We like Stamped.io)
Get as many reviews on your site as you can and watch your website conversions lift almost instantly.
Don’t spend a dime on ads, or marketing until those are in place. You’re leaving thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of dollars on the table.
